Mike Hess
Founder & CEO
Mike Hess Owns and Operates GCSHS alongside his wife Amy Hess. He has partnered with Dustyn and Taylor McCauley to continue to develop excellence in the home improvement space throughout the Brandenton and Sarasota area.

Mike is a graduate of Michigan State University and attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he met his wife, Amy. He has worked the majority of his 20+year professional career in various leadership roles for multiple large Banking, Finance and Real Estate corporations in Detroit, Washington D.C., Chicago, and the Tampa Bay Area. Mike has a passion for mentoring and coaching young adults and those just starting their professional careers, taking great pride watching them grow and succeed.
Mike is a natural risk taker and was born to own his own business. He believes that you can be successful in anything you do in life if you’re willing to do 2 things: work harder than those around, and thoroughly impress the customers that give you the opportunity to work with them.
Mike is a dedicated husband to his wife, Amy, and father to his 14-year-old son, Landon, who is already a championship rower for Sarasota Crew, and the most intelligent person that he knows. Second to his family, Mike is a proud Spartan and loves watching Michigan State University football and basketball. One of Mike’s greatest joys in life is waking up to make breakfast for his son to have just a few minutes of one on one time with him each morning.

Amy Hess
Tech Lead
Amy’s love of home improvement and design started as a young girl working along side her Dad as he tackled personal DIY projects, both small and large. Through those projects, and numerous personal home remodels, she learned not to be afraid of trying something new, that she can accomplish just about anything she sets out to do, and that she loves the personal joy that she feels in helping to create a beautiful space.
Amy is a graduate of Michigan State University (Go Green!) and Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and has worked the majority of her career in risk management, focusing on legal and regulatory compliance. Her passion for home decorating, remodeling, and landscape gardening helps her honor her creative side, and she is constantly inspired by a new project and the vibrant colors and lush greenery that thrive in the Florida sunshine.
Amy’s family is her greatest joy, and she and her husband, Mike, are the proud parents to one son, Landon, who is growing up way too fast, but becoming an independent, determined, and exceptional young man. In addition to her professional and family life, Amy deeply adores moments spent with good friends, extended family, and playing with her two dogs. She enjoys cooking, tending to her jungle of plants, watching college sports, and a relaxing day at the pool/beach.
Dustyn McCauley
Office Manager
Dustyn is a passionate and driven individual who is constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities for personal growth. He has always had a love for learning and exploring new things, which has led him to pursue a variety of interests and experiences. With over twelve years of experience in the industry, he has honed his skills and expertise to deliver high-quality painting services for residential and commercial clients.
Taylor McCauley
Taylor is a skilled hair stylist, devoted mother of two wonderful children, wife of ten years, and an enthusiast of interior and exterior design. With a creative spirit and an eye for detail, she finds inspiration in transforming not only hair but also spaces into beautiful masterpieces. In addition to her work in the salon, she has a deep love for interior and exterior design. Taylor is constantly drawn to the world of colors, textures, and patterns, and she enjoys exploring new trends and techniques to create visually stunning spaces.
Taylor's favorite hobby is cooking, and she also finds enjoyment in unwinding by the pool, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play, and cherishing quality time with her friends, family, and pets.
